The Sewer Pipe Line Repair Process
Needing sewer repair in Fort Lauderdale, FL can get overwhelming, especially when you think about the whole process and how it will tear apart your yard. The good news is that there are ways you can have your sewer line repaired without extensively damaging your landscape.
As a plumbing company specializing in sewer pipe line repair, DASCOR Plumbing is here to ease your mind and help you understand that repairing your sewer pipes is not as disruptive as traditional methods. We outline our repair process below.
Initial Sewer Inspection
Before we start working on your sewer line, we first examine the existing line using a specialized camera. We snake this device into the pipe through one of the drains in your home or by digging a small hole. Our plumber uses the video feed to determine the length of the sewer line and the severity of the damage.
Line Cleaning
Before any of our sewer repair services, we clean the inner surface of the pipe to ensure that the liner adheres appropriately.
Pipe Lining
In most cases, we can reline a sewer pipe if the damage is not extensive and sewer line replacement is not necessary. We coat the liner in a special epoxy and place it inside the sewer line. We then inflate a bladder, a long tube, inside the liner, pressing it against the interior surface of the old pipe. When the new liner cures and hardens, we remove the inflatable tube, and your sewer line is ready for use.
Final Inspection
After giving your sewer line time to cure, we perform a final inspection with a sewer camera to ensure our sewer repair services meet quality control standards. If all is well, we reconnect the line, fill the access hole, and clean up any mess after we replace sewer line.
